If I do not forgive everyone, I shall be untrue to myself. I shall then be acting as if I were innocent of the same offenses, and I am not. I must forgive lies directed against me because so many times my own conduct has been blotted by lies. Also, the lovelessness, hatred, slander, fraud, arrogance of which I too am guilty.
