In the Church's calendar there are only three persons whose birth's we celebrate: Jesus, Mary and John the Baptist. In celebrating Mary's birth, we give thanks to God for his marvelous plan for Mary that began with the gift of her Immaculate Conception, the gift of her birth, the gift of her virginity, the gift of her Motherhood, the gift of her Assumption and the gift of her Queenship, to name but a few.
