“No one, however weak, is denied a share in the victory of the cross.  No one is beyond the help of the prayer of Christ.” (Pope St. Leo the Great) Salvation is a gift that God gives to everyone, even though not all are saved. We have been saved by the death and resurrection of Jesus. But we must ask for this grace, no matter how weak and sinful we may see ourselves. Once we experience this grace we need to respond to it by our choices in life. Salvation is a precious treasure given to us, but if we don't guard it, we can lose it, as many have.
