(Henri Nouwen)  We trust that God will be there to catch us because he loves us. At the same time, we can't be foolish and do stupid things to test the Lord, such as jump away from him.  Trust is based on a relationship of respect and love. It is also a growing relationship: the more we trust, the more we are able to trust.
