We have a mission and purpose in life. This mission and purpose began when we came into existence. But it was not until we were baptized that this mission and purpose begin to come into focus. For it was then that our true identity was revealed to us. We are sons and daughters, disciples, of the living God. He shared his own divine life with us. We are meant to live with him eternally. From the moment of our baptism to the inevitable moment of physical death, we have a mission to grow in relationship with God and to share what God is doing in our lives with others. Everything else is, in reality, secondary and is to be directed to our primary mission and purpose.
