That is not from the Lord. Yes, we are to work on our faults and shortcomings but see them as stepping stones to greater holiness rather than stumbling blocks, leading to giving up. God is at work in you, calling you to keep your eyes fixed on him and not on the difficulties on the road. His love is greater than your faults.
