"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust
in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not
so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if
I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3)
The second coming of Jesus will be glorious for
him and for us. He will come in glory and majesty to complete the work he began
at the time of his first coming. His first coming was to save us. His second
coming is to complete our salvation. We
heard in last Sunday’s second reading: “I am
confident of this, that the one who began a good
work in you will continue to
complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians
1:6)
It will be glorious for us if we are living in
union with him at the time. Then he will say: “Well done, good and faithful
servant. Enter into the kingdom prepared for you by my Father.”
Come, Lord Jesus, come!
