(Mother Teresa of Calcutta) What an attitude to begin with each day!  Too often we are burdened by the past. We drag the past with us in a sack, adding each day new things. We have a hard time trusting in the love of the Sacred Heart for us and entrusting to him everything. We believe in the lie that tells us we have to do something to fix and make up for the past. We believe in the lie that tells us what Jesus did on the cross out of unconditional love for us was not enough. In stead of these lies why do we not choose to begin the day with a fresh new slate and with the joyful acknowledgement that Jesus has paid the price for my past. I can't change the past. I can only change what I do today. And I choose with God's grace to return love for love to the Sacred Heart of Jesus rather than to focus on the past and live in guilt and shame. Thank you Jesus for your merciful, forgiving and life-giving love.
