O Radiant Dawn, splendor of eternal light, sun of justice: come and shine on those who dwell in darkness and in the shadow of death. 

Jesus is the light of the world, the light that brings life. Before Jesus came, the world was in the darkness of sin. His birth brings the fulfillment of God's promise to send us a Savior. His resurrection brings a new light into the world, his risen life, which we are privileged to share in. As we await his second coming in glory we are to live in hope and joy, knowing that we will see him, the Radiant Dawn, the Sun of justice, the splendor of eternal light. While we watch for this new day, we are called to be instruments of justice and peace. Come, Lord Jesus, come! Let your radiant light shine on us anew.
