If we would treat others the way God treats us, our life would be different. Unfortunately too often, that is not the case. We cry out to God for mercy and forgiveness, but fail to do the same towards others. We want God to love us even more, but we forget to love others as much as God has loved us. We look for gratitude from others for what we have done for them. But we fail to thank God for his many blessings. We want God to be there for us when we need, but forget to be there for others in their need. Jesus has given us this rule of thumb. "The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you." (Matthew 7:2)  God's mercy and love are unconditional. Would that ours would seek to be the same towards others. God sets the standard for us to follow.
