“We have received baptism, entrance into the Church and the honor of being called Christians. Yet what good will this do us, if we are Christians in name only and not in fact?” (St. Andrew Kim)

This thought of St. Andrew Kim fits in well with the words of Jesus in today's Gospel. Jesus said: "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it."  It is not enough to have the title of Christian, if we are not willing to act and live as a Christian. There are many Christians in name only in the world, whose life style does not reflect their relationship with Jesus. They hear the word of God but do nothing about it. They do a disservice to Jesus. Then there are those who, like Mary, hear the word of God and put it into practice by doing the will of God. That is the litmus test that separates the sheep from the goats.
