Are we living to die or dying to live? Most people are afraid of death. They spend money to extend their lives. Is it because they see death as a lost, as an end? The fear of death paralyzes them. Even when they know they are dying, they fight even harder to live. If we are dying in order to live, we have a hope of a better life beyond the moment of death. This is the reason the Son of God became Man. There was a block between us and the eternal life God created us for. Jesus through his death and resurrection destroyed that block, giving us a glimpse of the life worth living with him eternally. Because of him we should enjoy the life we have, but in hope look forward to that life which is even greater. There we will be one with God. In the words of Revelations: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, [for] the old order has passed away." It is then that real life begins, the life we were created for.
