What if we adopted this attitude as we deal with the various situations in our daily life? Would our life have a different focus and purpose? We are like Peter, who as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, was able to walk on water. But when he took his eyes off the Lord and looked at himself, he faltered and sank.  Can we train ourselves to keep our eyes on the Lord and not on the problems of life? No, the problems will not go away, but we can deal with them better in God's company rather than alone. Isolation and self-focus are the temptations that distract us from our call to be one with the Lord in all things.
