Thought of the Day November 16, 2022 Walk by faith not by sight.
St. Paul says that, while in this life, we "walk by faith and not by sight." Our faith is in the God we do not see with our human eyes now, but will see one day face to face. Our faith is in the promise of eternal life, though now we live a fragile, finite life. We put our faith in the Bread of Life in anticipation of being filled with the Banquet of life eternally. It is not always easy to walk by faith. We are a experiential people. We learn by touch and sight. But knowing these things shall pass, we are called to live by faith and not merely by sight. It is a day to day decision, putting our trust in God, though unseen, who is seen through his daily love for us. To walk by faith and not by sight is a way God uses to stretch us and prepare us for what "eye has not seen nor ear heard," his glorious splendor.
