Being a Christian should be a great joy for us and for others. But sometimes we become so overwhelmed by the daily struggles of life that we fail to remember that grace of joy that is ours. We fail to reflect it to others. What is our joy? God has created us in his own image and likeness, that God sustains us every moment of our life, that God has redeemed us and shares his life with us, that we are meant to be with him forever in glory. We are not to deny the struggles of our life, but are invited by Jesus to go to him and unite ourselves to him. Our joy is that we are not alone in our journey. Our joy is that we are beloved of God. We have more to rejoice in than to be saddened by. But our joy is not meant to be self-focused but to be manifested as a witness for the Lord in a world that lacks true joy. Let your joy shine before others and watch your joy increase.
