How often one's attitude can make the difference in how a situation in life impacts us! I can see the same situation with the eyes of faith and love or I can see it with eyes of question and despair. The situation doesn't change. How I deal with it will determine its positive or negative effect in my life. The two thieves crucified with Jesus had different outcomes. One cried out in hope; the other in despair. One heard the words , which made a difference: "Today, you will be with me in paradise." The other heard nothing but the echo of his own despair.
