Thought of the Day May 17, 2023 The Spirit of Truth

Jesus said to his disciples: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.”  (John 16:12-13) 


Jesus told the Apostles: "I am the way, the truth and the life." Jesus is the fullness of truth revealed by the Father to the world. But to fully receive and understand this truth, we need the light of the Holy Spirit. On our own we cannot know the truth or we will accept that which is not the truth. But with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can come to an ever deeper awareness and understanding of the "truth that will set us free", the truth that is eternal and lifegiving. Pray for this light of the Spirit, so that you will embrace only the truth that is of God. 

About the Author

Jesus said that we are to go to the ends of the world, proclaiming the Gospel of Salvation. Our recent Holy Fathers have urged us to use the social media to accomplish this task. This is just one attempt to respond to both calls. Join me in this effort.
