Do I trust God as much as God desires and deserves? He wants all of me, not because he needs me. He wants all of me for my sake. For in him alone will I find my fulfillment. The more God is the Lord of my life, the more I am fully me. This is the gist of what Jesus said in the Gospel of Mark.  “Amen I say to you, There is no one who has left behind house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or land, for my sake and for the Gospel, who will not receive one hundred times as much, now in this time: houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and land, with persecutions, and in the future age eternal life. (Me 10:29-30) What in my life do I cling to more than I cling to God? Can I trust that God loves me and will provide for me? Can I surrender that possession or person to God? It is not mine anyway, but God’s.
