Saint Theresa of Lisieux said   "You cannot be  half a saint. You must be a whole Saint or no saint at all."

It is either all or nothing. It is like what St. Augustine once said before his heart got convicted. "Lord, I want to be a saint, but not today." Either one is sharing in God's divine life or is not. There is no somewhat. Everyone sharing in the life of God at this moment is a saint. We should strive for the maximal not partial holiness of life. Remember what Jesus said: "May are call but few are chosen." We have been called by God to be saints. But we must choose to accept and act on the grace God  gives us. Don't fight the Lord.
