Sometimes, we forget who we are, whose we are and what's our inheritance and destination. Who are we? We are a child of God, chosen by him personally to exist. Whose are we? We belong to God by creation, redemption and sanctification. What is our inheritance? Shared life with God. In baptism we were given the first down payment of our inheritance by God. What is our destination? As adopted children of the Father, we are destined to see God face to face, sharing his life eternally. If we keep these truths always before us, we will have the strength to continue on our journey. We know there is a purpose for our existence, especially when there are obstacles on our path. We keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the perfecter of our faith.
