In preparation for the Feast of Pentecost this Sunday, we will focus this week on titles of the Holy Spirit. He is the Advocate, who is always at our side to speak on our behalf. As Jesus, even when he is in heaven is with us, so Our Advocate is with us at all times to guide us on our journey to the Father. Many Christians are like the twelve disciples St. Paul came across in his ministry in Ephesus. They had never heard of the Holy Spirit, because they were baptized by John the Baptizer. Though baptized and confirmed many Catholics know of the Holy Spirit  vaguely, but do not know the Holy Spirit personally. What is needed is a stirring of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, given to them in baptism and confirmation, so that their witness of Jesus may be led and empowered by the Person of the Holy Spirit, the Advocate. Come, Holy Spirit, come.
