"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life."  Jesus is the Truth and the way to the truth, revealed by the Father. There is no other way to this truth, except through belief in Jesus. He is the way that leads us to eternal life that God desires us to share with us. As the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus calls us to follow him. There are many who have come before and after Jesus, claiming that their message is what will lead us to happiness. Some have followed, only to realize that these "teachers" were only human like themselves. Only Jesus is both God and Man, the author of all truth and all life. To follow any other way, to believe in any other truth is not to have the eternal life that only God can promise and give. Only Jesus can say without any hesitation: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life." With Joshua, the leader after Moses, our response to Jesus should be: "For me and my household, we will follow the Lord."
