This seems to be an unconscious rule of thumb for many of the Saints. In their own time and circumstances, they saw a need to educate the poor, to provide shelter for the homeless, to open up clinics for the sick and dying, and to care for the abandoned. God tugged at their heart to respond. They did.  Things haven’t changed. How conscious are we of the needs around us? What is God saying for us to do about these needs, if anything? The saints teach us that we are to tackle a need or an issue person by person, situation by situation, following the lead of the Spirit of God.
