We are never to play with the devil because he wins when we are alone. When he wins then we are away from the Lord. The devil wants us in get into his ring, because he has the advantage over us. Instead of us trying to overcome the devil, we need to remember that only one person was able to do that, Jesus Christ. So the way to overcome the ploys of the devil is not to have any interaction with him. Instead, let our interaction be with Jesus, who in turn will take care of the devil for us. There is no other Savior but Jesus.
