Too many people are “Catholic” culturally and by name only. But they look and act no different than those who are non-believers. They may have the external trimmings of a “Catholic”, they may go through the motions at times, but their life is not rooted in Christ. If they were, their values and morals would be different from the crowd. They would make decisions based on their relationship with Jesus, desiring to be with him eternally. Being a Catholic is not like being a neon sign flashing one’s faith, but a mirror reflecting ones’ faith and commitment. You can tell a tree, Jesus says, by its fruits.
