Thought of the Day August 8, 2024 In weakness I am strong.
"Let not weakness make you discouraged.” St. Mary MacKillop
St. Paul learned this lesson and shared his insight from God with us. “’My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.’ I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Weakness is used by the devil to discourage us. God uses our weakness to draw us to himself. He teaches us that our strength comes not from ourselves but from him. In him I can do all things. Without him I can do nothing that is of value. We are to acknowledge our weakness, so as to depend more upon the Lord for his strength. In this way we mock the devil.
