Thought of the Day November 22, 2024 Real identity
“Men call me Cecilia, but my most beautiful name is that of Christian” St. Cecilia (180-230)
Our human birth was a gift from God. But a
greater gift was our re-birth in the waters of Baptism. When we were born, we
were a child of our parents. When we are re-born, we become the adopted son or
daughter of our God and Father. When we were born and registered, we became the
citizen of a nation. When we were baptized, we became a Christian, a citizen of
the Kingdom of God. In each of these instances, the latter is the more
important in fact. But do we realize that? Do we celebrated what God has done
and is doing in our life more than what our parents and others have done?
