On this Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we thank God for all that he has done in her life and even today through her. Mary's various apparitions reminds us of the same message. Jesus is the Savior of the world. She calls us to repent and encounter her Son in a fresh new way, so that her Son may accomplish in us what he truly desires, union with him. Mary is the one who proclaims to us today: "Prepare the way of the Lord." He came in the flesh through Mary as his Mother. Now, he comes in spirit and in sacramental signs to prepare us for his final coming in glory. If we receive him now as he comes, hopefully, we will receive him then, in his final coming, the most important encounter. Come, Lord Jesus, come!
