Psalms 6:5 “Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.”

 In Malachi 3-7 we read: “Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord.” But the truth is that God is always turned towards us, even when we have turned away because of sin. When we return to him, we will find him awaiting us, like the father of the Prodigal son. In his mercy God forgives and forgets our sins. He restores us to our rightful dignity as his own. He can only save us if we return to him. What is the sin I am holding on too?  Is it worth holding to? Is it not better to turn back to the Lord for the forgiveness of sin? Lord, Have mercy.
