Psalms 32:2 “Blessed is the man to whom the Lord has not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.”

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, as St Paul reminds us. Only when we refrain from sin, can we be called blessed. Only when we are truthful and humble, can we be called blessed. Even in this we are totally dependent upon the unmerited grace of God. Our Lenten journey is to turn away from sin and put on the mind of Jesus. He chose to be obedient to the will of the Father, even if it meant death by crucifixion. Thus, he was raised up and exalted. When we follow his path, seeking the will of the Father, rather than our own self-satisfaction, then we will be raised and be called blessed, not only now but eternally.
