During the season of Lent, we will be reflecting on the seven Penitential Psalms. Each week we will reflect on one of the following psalms: 6, 32, 38, 51, 102, 130, 143. As Lent is a time to uproot sin in our lives, these psalms reflect the cry and lamentation over personal and corporate sins and their consequences in our lives. I invite you to join me in this Lenten journey to the Pascal Mystery. I urge you to pray and reflect on these psalms as a way of entering into the prayer of the Psalmist, which is the prayer of the Church, making it our own prayer. May we have a graced-filled Lent. Lord, have mercy for I have sinned.
